Svetla Jivkova
She received the MS degree in physics in 1985 from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and the Ph.D. degree from the
Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She was an Associate Professor with the
Department of Electrical Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University and a research associate with the Central Laboratory of Optical Storage and Processing of Information at the Bulgarian Academy of Science. Currently, she is an Associate Teaching Professor in Mathematics Department at the Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Jivkova's fields of research include holography, photorefractive crystals, interferometry, optical processing of information, coherent amplification of optical signals, and wireless optical communications.
